Say, I was browsin' teh interwebz, and look at this oddity of music I came across.

http://www.animalswithinanimals.com/stallio_-_chex_squadron.mp3

Entitled "Chex Squadron vs. The Cereal Eaters," it's some weird stuff. Not really music, but experimental music.

Y'kno, it sounds like he tried running the intro movie while recording its soundtrack, and live mixing it on a PentiumI running 3.1. I thought I had heard that stutter before...

but thats O_o as all getout

I downloaded the MP3. It sounded horrible, with the intro video overlaid with all of that other stuff.

Look at all of the fail on Yahoo! Answers. The amount of sheer ignorance on the subject of Chex Quest by the masses is astounding. One supposed good Samaritan went so far as to tell someone that they should download Chex Quest at http://free-game-downloads.mosw.com/, which is a rip-off site that hotlinks off of Home of the Underdogs, and makes you pay for it, as well. Another suggested torrent sites, blah blah blah. It's just terrible.

Of course I would use a torrent to get a free game.  :P

But why not just download it at the developer's website, or from my humble abode, where you can download an image of the CD in a relatively small download? :P Why resort to downloading bittorrent clients and going to websites with pirate in the name?

Because it's there!  Seriously though, most people have probably never thought of a CQ community.  It's their loss, really.

If I had to guess, I would bet that those people are already intimately familiar with torrent programs, if ya know what I mean.

I know exactly what you mean. They've got a terabyte worth of warez already, and it's hardcoded into their thinking. They think, "Wow, Chex Quest was a great game! Where can I download it for free?" Naturally, those websites immediately come straight to mind, and they run straight to them without even consulting Google, or using strange search terms like "chex quest warez," "chex quest torrent," etc. Pitful. I wonder how many members, activity, and overall knowledge this restricted sight has cost us and them....

There was a single good reply on the fourth link, I voted best answer, it was the ONLY reply of any of the topics that actually directed people to our site.

One of the links directed to the dead TUCQ site....

It's a mental thing. When I say it in my mind, I say it like "warze," so it's natural to come out that way. I actually wrote it both "warze" and "warez." :P Keep that in mind the next time you decide to NITPICK.
