Is there some way I could have control over the ticker? It'd be handy for telling people when I'm hosting.

I had my own little quest to play Chex Quest tonight.

So first of all, nobody showed up for youth group at church tonight, so I turned on the computer in the sound booth (yay for authorization!) and then remembered "YES! 75's HOSTING TONIGHT! YES!" and after downloading the wad I started playing (on my install on my flash drive).
Fast forward to playing in the Mario Zorchmatch map. I was looking through the options for an option for logging your console/messages, and noticed I was running in software mode instead of OpenGL. And I had the bright idea of changing to OpenGL. But then, apparently that monitor can't handle something about Doom with GL (saying "Out of Range" for the refresh rate and stuff). So I tried switching back to Software Mode, but Skulltag always started up to quickly for me to get the initial options box. So I tried editing the ini file, but the most I ever got was the main changing picture, but it always crashed before the menu appeared. So I eventually managed to get going by using an ini file for another user, and finally got back to playing.

I did actually get it back into Software Mode by memorizing the keystrokes needed (by using a different ini at the time) which happen to be enter, down twice, enter, up 4 times, enter, down 1, right, 2 escapes, then to be easy a console exit command. But, unfortunatly it still complained about the out of range stuff, so I used the other ini...

I'll ask my brother about this later...

If you go and run skulltag without doomseeker or anything else, the menu for selecting hardware or software will appear.

Jeez, i'm sorry guys.
neither IDE nor doomseeker nor the skulltag internal browser were working. At least IDE showed servers, but they were all N/A. Doomseeker and Skulltag didn't show anything.
I think I know the problem; you don't have to help me.
I think it's my mom's darn wireless internet. STUPID VERIZON! the reason i suspect this is because it works at my dad's house (my parents are divorced) and it couldn't login to skype or steam.
