Multiplayer Anyone!?

Hey everyone. So since I had a successful first year of college, I guess its time to celebrate. Who's down for some multiplayer. Just one problem, how do I start a good multiplayer server? I'm thinking of once again using the ZDaemon engine with the classic ChexQuest files. Well inbox me or reply to this thread if you want to.

If you're looking for some action, all you need to do is download Zandronum (http://zandronum.com/); if you're using windows it's as easy as downloading the binary and installing it; let me know if you're not using Windows, I can help you with Linux and Mac as well.

After you do that, download chex3.wad (if you don't have it already) http://www.ifocserv.net/ftp/wads/chex3.wad and put it in your Zandronum folder, then download the latest chex pack (you can find the link here http://www.chexquest.org/index.php?topic=3296.0) and put it in your Zandronum folder.

Then start up Doomseeker, and look for my [IFOC] Servers (just type IFOC in the filter) and I recommend joining the Zorchmatch server.

Currently Chex Pack's co-op episode(s) aren't finished yet (it only has player vs player game modes hosted, like Zorchmatch (deathmatch), CTF, and duel), but if you'd like to fight some flemoids, you may be interested in Chex Quest: The Lost Quest, which you can play with chex.wad http://www.ifocserv.net/ftp/wads/chex.wad and CQTLQB21.wad http://www.ifocserv.net/ftp/wads/CQTLQB21.wad

Unfortunately, wadseeker doesn't work with my site for some reason, so you'll have to go to http://www.ifocserv.net/ftp/wads/ to find the wads I'm hosting on my site.

I'm thinking of once again using the ZDaemon engine with the classic ChexQuest files.

ZDaemon doesn't really support Chex.wad as an IWAD (ZD thinks it's the Ultimate Doom IWAD, and flemoids still shoot you from a distance like the Doom zombies), so you'll at least need Fraggle's Chex Quest Dehacked Patch http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/?id=15420 to fix that.

I have started servers on ZDaemon before, but I don't really remember how to do it.

If you want to start a server on Zandronum, I can tell you how to do it. You will need to be able to change your router's settings.
