The ultimate question that I don't think has been asked yet....What's your favorite zorcher?

Phasing Zorcher.

I'm glad this is being asked again seeing as we have all the new members who can input.

Phasing Zorcher for me. closely followed by BootSpoon.

Phasing Zorcher, with the Zorch Propulsor as a close second.

I was originally thinking Phasing, but then I realized that I always just tear my way through each level with the bootspork as soon as I get it ;D

For general use, I use the Rapid Zorcher. If it's not available, then the Large Zorcher.

Zorch Propulsor. Although Large Zorcher is a close second, followed by Bootspork.

I think the Phasing Zorcher is really cheap, and overrated. Anyone can grab one, pick up ammo, and blast away at everything you see. Don't need precision to use a Phasing. They're even worse in Deathmatches.

As I've said before, Rockets and Shotguns (aka Propulsors and Large Zorchers) require precision, or at least are more fun for me to use than a Phasing. It makes me feel better to know I actually shot something by aiming at it and firing. I liked the Propulsor a lot in the original CQs as well, since they had splash damage. More care was necessary to fire at it without being slimed.

But to every man his own.

Large Zorcher in CQ...shotty in Doom...epic win all around.

but then bootspork...i can get through everything but a boss with it.

Just hand me over that Zorch Propulsor and it'll make my day =:-)

Zorch Propulsor. Especially now that it doesn't damage its shooter.

It would have been alright to bump the other topic, but as long as it's being asked here....

I personally don't have a "true" single favorite zorcher, since I use different ones become my instant favorite depending on the situation, so I just went big and voted LAZ Device because it's the closest thing to a favorite I have. ;D

Once again, just another example of Manny being Manny.

Phasing Zorcher, mini in terms of appearance, bootspoon in terms of awesomeness, and bootspork in terms of superawesomeness.

I voted Rapid Zorcher because it's useful for the most things. You can zorch Stirders and 'Super Saucers' (I've always called Cytoclops 'Flying Saucers' or 'Saucers' ever since '96 ;D) with it fairly easily considering it's size. I also was tempted to vote Large Zorcher (or #3. I have also called all zorchers by their number except for the spoon, the fork and the 'Shuhma gun' [LAZ]. I was, like, 6 when I made these names up... I didn't know anything official lol)

I also like 5 (Propulser I think. The one that used to kill you if you were too close when you fired it.)

Anyhoo, I also like the minizorcher for it's looks.... always have.....

LOL!  I like your custom names ;)  I used to call the LAZ device "the lsagna gun" ;D

I usually use the large zorcher or the mega zorcher (double shotgun) in deathmatch and in normal play, but the propulsor is a close second (I'm pretty good with the LAZ too in some games XD).

I usually save the phasing for "renevants" (don't know what they're called) or large bosses like cybies or flembranes.

LAZ Device is the bestest. Speaking of the spoon, though (not the spork) I once beat the final boss in chex quest 1 with it just to prove I can.. 200 health started.. 11 health ended... Easiest difficulty.. It was really funny.

Yep, you'll find that Zorcher and more in The Slimeinator's The New Chex Quest: Generation 2, as well as some more awesome weps in Chex Quest: Generation 2 (two different games). They're both in the Suspended Projects section, as Slimeinator has been working on other things. They're very playable, though.

I have always like the Phasing Zorcher and Large Zorcher.

Large zorcher, followed by the rapid zorcher. Rapid zorcher is pretty accurate if you do it right.. Perfect for 'sniping' ;)

And of course.. The large zorcher just owns

But what is this about it now not damaging the shooter?

In CQ3 it doesn't hurt the player.

It was never meant to hurt you, unlike the Rocket Launcher.

Well, according to the original CQ website, it was lol :)

They probably put that up there because they couldn't remove it from the .exe. If it were intended, then, by the same card, the LAZ Device would hurt the player PLENTY more than any old Propulsor.

true.. if slime can come out of portals to the flemoid dimension, then a bigger portal = bigger slime attack

Exactly. I remember Chukker saying that the Propulsor wasn't meant to do that.
