Been wanting to play it in skulltag for a while now for the really good OpenGL rendering it has, only to find out that Skulltag cannot play it due to licencing restrictions. Anyone know how to force it to play?
The current version doesn't support CQ3. AFAIK, the upcoming 98a release will include support. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)
GZDoom is a good alternative while you wait, as it also has very excellent, if not superior, OpenGL rendering.
I cant WAIT for 98a...i'll host a co-op server as soon as I could...

Yay Skulltag! There are a few of us here who love multiplayer ST.
Anyways, to play CQ3 RIGHT NOW, just download the 97e (now known as 98a) alpha version available here:

Chex3.wad will automatically be detected as long as its in your ST folder, so you're ready to go. ;)

@CC: but there will be SO much more additions in the official release, so I wait.

I know. It will be EPIIIIC. But if you really need to play CQ3 in Skulltag (ie linuxlove), then you'll need the beta.
I can't wait for this release!

oh yes you must tell everyone the name of the server so we can look for it and join!!
Wont the next release enable us to play skulltag in 64-bit linux?
I've never had much luck with multiplayer CQ. but this sounds very promising (if not completely awesome ;))

Don't worry. With CQ3 support, 98a will totally rock!
Josh: Yes. Yes it will. ;)
IT HAS BEEN ABOUT TIME THEY DID THAT.
why not make a game for coops in 97e beta and tell us the name so we can play some AWESOME games
Hmm...I might hafta stack one up for a day...
Maybe tuesday, from 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM (EST)?
However, if it crashes, its down till 3:30pm (est)
That's sounds awesome, but what alpha/beta version are y'all using?

I didn't know there were different versions of 97e I thought it was just a beta for 98a.
I'll go download the latest beta just in case

I saw this one on the Skulltag forum so I save the image and uploaded it to my avatar
so the date was this Tuesday from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM?
Its a no-go.
Either due to an error with the engine or an error with the mapping, the enemies don't show up in coop mode.
Might need to tell Chukker and see if we can get a minor 1.5 update.
what build were you using? I just downloaded the latest build of it a few days ago and it works perfectly. are you sure you don't have the "Don't Spawn Monsters" turned on in the game? I know that was a problem when I tried to play COOP I had to turn that option off in the actual game

that might clear up a few problems
