I'm sure it hasn't gone unnoticed that I have been lurking about the forums. To what end you might ask? As everyone knows last year I busted out the ole' Doom editing tools and made the new flemoid and some test environments. What everyone doesn't know is that I have been spending the intervening time working on something BIG! I was shocked to find out that I was having a great time returning to the Chex universe and making retro game art. So it is with great pleasure that I am here to announce that I am currently working on a full-blown sequel to Chex Quest 2! It will have 5 all-new missions, complete with new flemoids and new environments!

My apologies to the other modders out there who have worked on their own versions of Chex Quest 3. It is not my intention to upstage any of your efforts. I just feel compelled to tell my own vision of what the next chapter in the Chex Warrior's story would be like. In fact the ambitious efforts on all of the Chex Quest mods should be applauded, for they are what have inspired me to put so much time into this project. I have a great deal of admiration for what you have done and it's my hope that I can consult with you when I get stumped on something technical. I might be dropping posts in the tech support forum occasionally for some help.
I am very busy between work and family at home, so I can't honestly give any estimate on when I might finish. 2 of 5 levels are nearly finished. Maybe 25% of new textures and sprites are done. I hope it can be released before the end of the year, but we will see. I will try to post an update once a month or so with some new screenshots or concept art.
WWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
This is gonna be AWESOME!
That's awesome! But, what happened to the level that you was working on here (http://z1.invisionfree.com/forums/chexquestforums/index.php?showtopic=2328)? (EDIT: The other pictures loaded for me. It looks like the level's there.) Will that be a part of this new mod of yours?
That Flemoid looks like some horribly slimed plant thing. And what's with the shooting star things? What port will this be for? Is that a flashlight and some weird zorchpak in the first screenshot?
I'm guessing Legacy, due to the crosshair. I am also guessing the turnip-headed Flemoid is CQ 3's answer to the BWA. I am deducing that those "shooting stars" are comets or meteors containing Flemoid Larvae, and were similar to the asteroid that landed on Bazoik.
Yeah, the first screenshot implies that, what with the meteor glowing green and whatnot.
Also, if you look in the third screenshot on the right side of the screen, there is one of those meteorites and a pool of slime, with slime edges on nearby textures.
I also noticed that. Hmmm.... Is this the same planet that Chex City is on? I still wonder what the name of that planet is.
IFC Central Command was the test map I put together last year and posted the earlier screenshots of. As I finished that up, I started to have some ideas about a bigger adventure, leading to the idea of making five new missions. So IFC Central Command (the chex-shaped space station in CQ1's intro movie) will be mission #1. I will drop some more info in my monthly updates, but I won't be giving away everything. There needs to be some suprises when you play it for the first time!
I agree.
I want this to be as surprising as the time that I first played Chex Quest 2, and even the "other" Chex Quest 3 before I knew any better, so, yes, I think that you should reveal information only as needed.
By the way, that quote "flashlight" by Manny Cav seems to be, in truth, a Phasing Zorcher, hooked up to a Zorchpak. Come on guys, can't you tell?
I blew it. :D That DID look like a zorchpak, but the Phasing Zorcher never registered.
wow 0_0 awsome
:O !!!!
What can I say? It looks... Amazing!!!
In the last screen shots it looks like a forrest level, kinda what I did in CQTLQ first episode.
EDIT: Why has this not been stickyed yet it should!
So, since this is made by a member of the original Digital Cafe, I should safely say that this should be part of Chex Quest canon. This... looks.. awesome!
I'm going to sticky it so Chukker here can add information anytime he likes.

This is awsome! Thank you some much for what you have done for this community! As for the what i've quoted I dont mind. In fact I insist you to not worry. This will be a offical CQ3. All I need to do is rename mine. And the inspiring thing goes to ways I guess. I've been inspired by all the digital cafe members that created chex quest. (Mostly you, and your work.) So much that I for 10 years want to make new flemoids and maps. Now I've finally been able to do so. (I never relized how hard it is.) Well, all I can think to say is thank you! I love the way you made it look. The new flemoid looks awsome! One more thing, do you plan to have a Lost soul/Cybie/Spidermastermind replacement? Ah im so excited! I'm shaking!
Wow amazing finally an official chex quest 3 one question. the flemoid in the third pic what doom monster does it correspond to

Im not sure but it does look like a revenant or a archvile in a way.
I'm nearly speechless here. This is something that I never thought would have happened, but moments like this make me realize that persistence can really pay off in the end! It's so amazing that Chex Quest, a game that was created over a decade ago for a cereal company, could live on and expand to the point where a third sequel would be released. ^__^
I would really like to give everyone in this forum a pat on the back for keeping this game alive over the years, and to the Chukker himself for being a part of creating it in the first place. I'm so excited to see how CQ3 turns out, and if you need any assistance constructing it, you've got a whole team here to help out if necessary. ^_~
On that note, if you need some new sound effects for the flemoids, I have a few sound utilities I could use to try and recreate the original flemoid noises.

Perhaps the Doom monster it replaces will be one of the surprises. ^_^ But if I had to make my own guess, I would say either the Revenant or Mancubus.
I still think it's the Imp, but it's definitely too thin for a Mancubus' Thing radius. If I had to pick between the two, I would say Revenant.
Woo woo woo! :o
*Brain is too fried to think of anything else to say right now*
I literally just got done running around my house screaming like a 5 year old girl in joy. This is amazing news, and I'm very much looking forward to this!
Awesomeness! [overusedline]This is big...[/overusedline]
Love the look of the whole thing. The new flemoid is perfect, just as freaky if not more than the originals. As for which DooM monster it replaces, I couldn't care less. It could be anything, since the hitbox can be changed to fit the desired shape of a monster. Rather simple DeHackEd work. This is from a complete rookie when it comes to DeHackEd too...

Hold on! If this is a Doom 1 convertion then I wouldn't think it would be the revenant. @Chucker, Is it Ultimate Doom or Doom 2?
*jaw drops* Beautiful!
*ahem* I have only one thing to say:
TEH BOMBSHELL!!!!
Holy crud I was NOT expecting this! All I can say is SWEET! I have noticed that Chex quest has been being revived on these forums as of late! Xbolt! You need to put this in the history!
I KNOW I CANT WAIT !!!!!!!!!!!
I'm going to bow down and WORSHIP Charles Jacobi (Chukker) when the games released!
I cant believe it. REally awesome man! I can't believe you're making this and you're the original artist! :) I love the new art.

I think that you're just noticing the skintight blue spandex.
I knew that was it, but I just didn't know quite how to word it properly. :D
Aye. The reason it looks strange now is because we've never seen a really close back shot of the Chex Warrior. xD; I think it stays true to his original style.
yeah, and better yet, now we know where all the zorch for the phaser comes from! a backtank!
Thanks, Chukker, you've officially cleared up a mystery.

Actually, that's kind of old news. We've always known of the zorchpak, and if you look at the sprite of Chexter holding the Super Bootspork closely, you'll see a red wire running the visible length of the Super Bootspork that is not unlike the red wire in the first image that Chukker provided.
This is SO cool! I can't wait for it to come out! ;D

I never thought the day would come that a new official release would be made. Since you are one of the geniuses behind this amazing series, I would say this is as close to official as it's gonna get. Thank you very, very much for taking your personal time to make us a whole new Chex Quest game. As a long-time CQ fan, I am honored.

Yay a real CQ3! I can't believe it. I didn't know that something would actually be made from an original guy from digital cafe that actually worked on the original game! This is amazing! I can't believe it's not on the news (well I can a bit)...
Can't wait for new screenies and betas if there are any!
I dout that he'll release "Betas". You think ID will release betas of doom 4?
Maybe... <_< >_>
I can't wait.... must... play... teh...awesome.................. I would be SO joyous and glad if you had a CyberDemon replacement!!!!!!!!!!
Other than the boring ol' Red Maximus, eh?
No new images this month unfortunately. With Red Alert 3 finalling right now, I am putting in the long hours at work so it's hard to find time to make significant progess on CQ3. However here is the latest: With two maps final, I am continuing to make progress on a third. The final two have paper designs, but nothing in-game yet. I'm continuing to add new textures and sprites. You've seen two new flemoids so far. I
Woohoo! Progress!
That's great! We got another Chex Quest creator on the fangame bandwagon!
This rocks. We got 2 DC members (artists at that, some of the most important members, IMO) working on the final (well, maybe not) installment of CQ...
Wow, really? (about Josh) Hmm...thats odd. I never noticed, but you two definately have a different style...
It will not be the final installment. Even if the Digital Café reunion doesn't make another Chex Quest game, we've got plenty of mod makers that were making sequels before we ever knew a true Chex Quest 3 would ever come.

*facepalm*
In other news: when I mentioned a game maker thing, I was referring to a "Flemoid Pet" that was made in Game Maker, where it claimed that you had a real choice in flemoid, but it was always just the larva, and the only thing that you could do was make dialog boxes appear and zorch it.
Yay! More news. this made my day alot better! :). Reading back through your original topic for the FOC map. You said we may give some Ideas for your maps. I had a wickid idea, but it would require zdoom. :( I'll PM you the details if you want. Maybe this is even posible in dehacked! :o But very unlikely. :(

Seems like you guys are steering a bit off-topic here. ^^; This thread is for talking about CQ3, not about other mods such as flemoid desktop pets.
If there isn't a thread for that sort of thing already, why not make one? ^_^
(Long time no see Strife)
I think this will be the CQ...to rule ALL OTHER CQ'S Having some of the vets work on this is great. Thanks for the sequal Chukker.
wow, i don't think anyone's been this excited bout a CQ game since the last TUCQ beta
Newstead! :D
Nice work Charles, it's great to see you pick up a load of interest in a game you worked on 12 years ago! Good luck on finishing it by the end of the year.
Too bad you kept the old Chex logo instead of the new one, eh? *points at the CQFF logo*
Also, at the zorchpack discussion, I know that the Mini and Large Zorchers don't connect to one. ;)
Maybe you just don't see the connection in the sprites.
The large zorcher is obviously loaded via a clip...
alright... Why not the mini zorcher?
How is the mini zorcher loaded? How do the round thingies relate to its ammo? THERE IS SO MUCH TO LEARN!!!!!!
Just because the Large Zorcher's ammo is loaded in a card doesn't mean that it doesn't use another external power supply.
You all are missing the point! (Besides slime...) Each one has its only reload thing. The phasing zorcher doesn't need the Zorch pac to run. Fred picks up the zorch pac wich hold more then the normal ammount fred can hold on his own. (Like the doom back pack) But has a tube running into the audomadic zorchers, so Fred doesn't need to wip off his Zorch pac to get ammo while he's fighting 50 flemoids. Now then. Topic please!
I possess WIN! Yay!
Well, that stinks to reload the mini zorcher every time you shoot... how does he not pass out from exhaustion?
That does make sense though...
BACK ON TOPIC,... please, please can you post another screen shot of the game!?!?!?!? I want to see it........... :P
Dude that looks sweet. I hope it won't take as long as Knee deep in zdoom to finish.
Me too!
Welcome to the CQFF, by the way.
I dont think this is gonna be ovar the top OMGZ good like KDiZD...but it will be good for me!
Welcome as well!
I don't know about you, but if Knee-Deep in ZDoom is as good as it's hyped out to be, then this will have the same effect on me as KDiZD did on everyone else!
Well, some like KDiZD. Others think it was delayed and hyped up too much. It looks stunning, is a good challenge to play through, and will show all features of ZDooM. Others think it was detered from the original too much, but they had to! iD came after em with copyright issues (even though the thing has been attempted before).
Oh well. I hope Chuck doesn't put TOO much detail into whatever he does...for me that would kill it. TUCQ is borderlining too much detail for a doom game, but at least its good looking and doesn't make me go "How u do that? *death noise* wha?! I died?".
Them my outlook is a little more liberal than yours--the more detail, the better. ;D Of course, it would have to play nicely on my computer, but as long as it's not like nuts.wad or whatever, I'm safe in that department.
Eh, I'll take performance over quality any day. However, if it ran smoothly on my computer and looked nice, that would be the best of both worlds.
I don't think KDIZD was verygood. And its not stunning... If it looked like Doom 3 does, Then it would be stunning. lol And maybe if they made it beatable, and to have you surching for ammo every ten seconds, it would be fun. BUT, ID wouldn't of gone after them, because it first appeared free as the demo.
I think Chuck will do a exellent job on his mod. So, it really isn't nice to say "It will never be as over the top as KDIZD". You honestly don't know....
Well, IMO, KDiZD was an awesome mod (probably because of my great attention to detail...which doesn't cary into my maps). Only problem was too much detail, too little ammo, and it was kinda long...
What i'd like to see is a good bit of detail, nice to play, and kinda short and sweet...just like the original 2 ones.
My obvious desire would be lots of detail (to a playable extent, as ChexCommander said), nice to play, and, oh, I don't know, mabey 36 levels? ;D Of course, Chukker already said we were getting 5, just like old times. 8)
Well, manny cav...I suggest you either watch a playthrough of KDiZD, or get it and try it...thats alot of detail.
Actually, now i'm with mob...I'd like to see a new screenshot plz.
36 levels are WAY too much levels! In my opinion, some of the fan games are too long!
So, you think Ultimate Doom had too many levels? Hmm? Wouldn't 36 levels being too much knock out any chance at a full Chex Quest conversion of Ultimate Doom?
Ultimate DooM is 4 episodes, each seperated, and I like playing through CQ games in one go.
Oh...well. to each 'is own.
I think it would be eternally awesome if somebody did manage to fuse all three CQs to make a Doom 1 conversion (not Ultimate Doom).
*stares at Boingo/Chukker*
Or make a super map, that combines all of the levels of CQ 1 together into one HUGE map! (stares at anyone who could do this)
What are you staring at me for?
*runs to Moe's house*
*Runs to Moe's house, gives Moe a cupcake, and drags Slime back to the real world and locks him up until he figures out how to do it.*
I did it before once. It's no real biggy.
now, a large map of all CQ levels would be awesome, but almost TOO much...
A DooM conversion would be awesome...maybe if we get a source port that would exit after each 5 levels...
I'd like that. :)
If I get any amount of C++ skill by the end of my tinkering with Wolf3D, then I may make a 5-level sourceport.
Or alittle zdoom editing... Now, Please we're moving off topic again. :(
Slightly...
I'd like some news, updates, screens...ANYTHING!
Just tell me that 'I'm really not working on this right now.' and I'll be fine!
(BTW, does anyone know where I can get the 3 episode version of DooM? I got Ultimate, but the registered would be better for that thing someone said above.)
I have a question: Does Chex Quest 3 have another title, like "The great invasion" or is it just CQ3? I'm just wondering because then boingo might be able to import it into The Ultimate Chex Quest, and know which title it would go by.
*quivers in anticipation of new Flemoids*
I desperately hope that there will be a Spider Mastermind conversion, or maybe even an ARCHVILE conversion!
Since CQ is based off Ultimate Doom, and since the archvile contains so many different animations, I doubt there will be an archvile conversion anytime soon... though it would be cool. xD
Hay guise, can we move some of this chatter to other parts of the forum? <.<;; I'm sure Chukker will post an update on CQ3 when he's ready. There's no need to push him.
lol tru, spaceman...(and did you know CQ was actually a Ultimate doom wad running through final doom code? random bit we discovered)
And the archvile is way complex...I'm suprised how Manny and Slime did it...
I managed to pull off an Arch-Vile conversion by looking at the internal DECORATE definition to figure out what sprites go where.
Chukker has posted in his help thread and not here... I wonder why...
Chukker, if you read this, please post something cool! Like some screenies or some wonderful info on the game!
Hello guys! There's not been tremendous visible progress this month, but here are some new screens:
The biggest news is that the game has been successfully moved over to ZDoom. It was suprisingly painless to do, but I wasn't using many Legacy-specific features anyways. As the first screen suggests, the original Chex 1 and 2 will be included in the wad, each ending with appropriate text screens after 5 levels. Right now Chex 1 and 2 have lots of incorrect textures... Boingo, I know your pain.
I like the second new city and slime textures in the second screenshot. However, I would like to make one observation here. The sky box you have suggests green meteors falling out of the sky. Is this an animated sky box, or are the meteors stuck in some sort of a limbo?
That looks like new sewer textures in the third screenshot. I also like the dripping slime from the ceiling.
Ooh, I always love city levels. Just walking around in a city zorching Flemoids is PWNAGE IMO.
Good job, Chukker!
You bring up an interesting point, Manny. I would think with ZDoom, now I could define an animated texture for the sky. I was originally thinking just a skybox as with any other Doom skybox. I might have to experiment with that.
Awesome. I like the new city, kinda like a classic Mexican style...(or maybe i'm confused)
A new sewer? its got wood! I like it!
Also, you know that the Slimeinator made a Chex Quest IWAD that runs perfect in (G)ZDooM...Maybe you could base off that? Or it could be that you like flemoids that shoot as well...
How about using the TUCQ phase 1 beta 1? Isn't it just the levels stuck together with all the textures fixed right? Although there are some doom levels inbetween you might have to dig out...
There's some meteors in the sky in The Ultimate Torment and Torture (http://www.realm667.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=289), so you might want to see how that guy did it. (As I remember, they looked totally awesome.)
Wow @ new screenshots. :o
Oh, boy I can't wait to play this! O_o
Please tell me your going to have have official add-ons for this.
Those are the most awesome levels I have seen in so long for Chex Quest, it's probably almost better than the first two.
Well, its ZDooM, not chex.exe.
IDK, I really just got a stern nostalgia...
I cant wait for it, tho...
I hope Boingo is gonna add this in TUCQ.

You could indeed. Use the animdef in zdoom. http://zdoom.org/wiki/ANIMDEFS
Oh man, I can't wait much longer, how much more needs to be done before release?
(Well, I can wait, I just am excited. :p)
Prolly not before Christmas...
YAY, ITS BEEN PORTED TO ZDOOM! I was waiting to hear those words. =)
As you probably know, there is a small difference with chex.exe and doom.exe in that the commonous and bipedicius do NOT shoot the player from a distance, are you planning to fix these issues as well as the zorch propulsor causing damage to the player? Also, higher difficulty could be implemented by allowing the above mentioned flemoids to shoot from a distance only at a higher skill level difficulty. I could whip up some DECORATE to show how this is done if interested.
I am getting even more excited, I am marking this on my list of things to look out for.
so far, this includes Mother 3 English Translation, The Empty Museum ZDoom wad, Seal of Nehahra remake, etc.
Zorcher, in the bottom fan projects, there is a version of 'doomu.wad' that is ported to zdoom...

The Zorch Propulsor always did damage to the player, even in chex.exe. The official explanation given for this (I can't seem to be able to find where) was that slime came back from the portal to the Flemoids' dimension that the "zorch probes" created. Removing this function would technically retcon the Chex Quest canon.
I think it was either the FAQ, or the Chex Quest Menu...
But its true. Thats what I remember.
Yes, I agree. Zorch probes? I call them pulses. (Propulsor = pulse)
Official Chex Quest menu description of the Zorch Propulsor:
----------
5=Zorch Propulsors send out little zorch probes. When these probes contact any surface, they open a small zorch gateway that can grab any nearby Flemoids and return them all to their own dimension.

EDIT: This thread gets derailed too easily.
im only slightly dissapointed to hear that this has been ported to zdoom
i understand the advantages, but making it for chocolate chex, i.e. chex.exe like the first two would have been more, well.......more......i dont know........like following the first two games? i dont know how to say it. though i realize now it can be played smoothly in skulltag.
ZDoom doesn't suffer from as many random error as Legacy, though. ZDoom is a more stable port, and since Skulltag is sourced from ZDoom and/or GZDoom, this will make it easy to play on Skulltag. And of course, when TUCQ finds its way to GZDoom, it will be easy to add this new game to TUCQ, if Boingo decides to pursue that venture. I approve of the switch fully.
Me too. And SuperChex's patch makes TUCQ even easier to run on GZDoom/Skulltag for now.
meh, ok, im convinced.
btw, didint chukker say he would include the first two games as well?
that would be perfect!
No, well not that I know of.
i'm pretty sure he said that a while back, i was reading through the pages last night.
oh i remember, the one were he released those screenshots of the new sewers and end game text. i thought he mentioned the first two games included.
He did. The first two games will, indeed, be included, according to him.

Boingo, I know your pain.
thats very good news. all 3 of them can be played on skulltag with only one wad....thats awesome.
but doesnt that put boingo's project to shame, if both he and chukker are making a zdoom-compatible compilation of cq1 and 2 plus a 3?
Boingo is aiming at doing a full 36 levels, while Chukker here plans on only 15 levels, tops. That would be the classic 10 levels, plus his 5 new levels. So, no, this will not put Boingo's project "to shame".
sry for the dumb question, inhaling too much secondhand smoke
That stuff's nasty for you, try cracking a window.
i can't wait for this.
hopefully its finished before july, thats my ship date for the army
no pressure tho chukker! wouldn't want to make the man who helped me...(your code was walk thru walls, right?) mad at me ;D
And I'm shippin to the Navy on Oct. 27th, so Chukker, get going! ;D Just playing around about the hurry... but yeah, Navy for me. Don't hurt me! :D Just wanted to add that I respect your work greatly, and Chex Quest is firmly engraved in my pallet of nostalgia where it shall always remain, and I can't wait to see the mission continue to continue!
By the way dude above me, good luck in bootcamp. I'm worried for my own neck, and I can only imagine what army boot camp is like. :o
thanks dude, but we better get back on topic or we'll have to worry about Loremaster AND boot camp
Hee hee, somebody's afraid of Loremaster...
But I greatly doubt it. Chukker said it might be finished before the end of the year, so I'm hoping this will come out as a nice Christmas present for everyone.
I hope not. :D Last year, I didn't use a computer for the two weeks of Christmas break, so if it does come out at or near Christmas, then I won't be able to play it right when it comes out.
So? I don't spend much time on the computer during the Christmas Season either. I'll just play it after New Year's. I'm too busy having parties and throwing gifts at friends and going to other parties and drinking sparkling grape juice.
True. If it comes out during Christmas break, it would be better than if it came out after Christmas break, and if it came out before Christmas break, that would be even better. I was just saying that in a sort of "why-did-you-throw-the-party-when-I-was-gone" manner.

ack, please no! :( Why don't we all just let Chucker choose the time. Don't try to rush him to finish it on Christmas.
Please, Replica. Calm down. I wasn't telling him to finish it by Christmas. Chukker said it would prolly be done by the end of the year. Therefore, Christmas is 6 days away from the end of the year. It's not a hard conclusion to make. So if Chukker does finish by then, it's a Christmas present. If not, we can wait.
Please don't get on my case to say I was rushing him. I wasn't. Even if you didn't mean it that way, that's not what I meant either.
I didn't mean to sound rude, every time I post something that sounds rude, I'm not trying to make it sound rude. So, try not to think that I'm being rude (or trying to be), or unless I flat out insult you. (Like this may sound rude, but I wasn't trying to be.) The reason I said, not on chirstmas was personal reasons. (Richie doesn't want religion stuff in here.)
Thats not what a really meant... I didn't mean rush, its just once you put a due date on it, it then take forever to come out. (Like me and the wii, lol)
At my current pace, I should finish up in a few months. Definitely should be done by December.
Can't wait!
I'm definatly gonna have to go to the library at least once a month to check up on this :)
Yeah...I can't wait.....before the end of the year a new CQ we've been waiting for for 11 years is gonna come out...
EDIT: Oh, and it's okay, Replica. I understand you didn't mean to sound harsh. Anyways, Chukker says he'll finish before then. Goodie!

drinking sparkling grape juice.
Your offering pleases Kuwabara!
On topic: Woot! Good luck chukker! Keep at your own pace, and don't let us rush you! We've waited for 11 years, and we can wait some more, so no pressure.
It's cool that CQ3 will be finished around December. ^_^ Of course, I won't be disappointed if it ends up being delayed. My projects get delayed all the time, but that just means I have more time to improve them.
I was wondering something about CQ3. What are your plans for adding new music and flemoid sounds? If you need new tunes, I can help compose a soundtrack. New sounds might be a bit harder, but it would be cool if the new flemmies had their own set of voices. ^_^

it probably could becuz you could edit strife's voice acting i think..
Bad news first - no new screens this month.
Now the good news - This weekend I successfully played a complete playthrough of Chex Quest 3! All maps are now in with full progressions possible without any cheats. So what's left to do? One map has significant texture work still needed, there are a few outstanding pieces of decoration and all maps need to have some secrets added and gameplay tuned. But it's close so that means that an initial release will be coming very soon!
Yay!
Its good to hear more proggress. :) Anyway, I think you missed what strife said.
Epic!
AWESOME!!! and like Replica said, Strife could help you with textures (if you'd like)

I meant sound and music. :/
Initial release, eh? So this mod will be made in the traditional style with multiple releases for updates and to work out bugs, right, Chukker?
I hate initial releases, at least it shows that good work is being done though. :)
Ah, yes, forgot something.

He may not have responded because he already has the music and sounds set. What's the status on that, Chukker?

Worth getting this holiday season for the stocking stuffers of download.. or.. game.. thats free.. and is a stocking stuffer.
WooHoo!
Yay! ;D
I can't wait! :D
New sounds... I have a friend who helped me record some. So there will be some new flemoid sounds. As for new music... I had contacted Andrew Benson about some new songs. He sounded interested, but I have yet to get anything. I can always add them if I get them in the future. I saw Strife's post and I sent him a PM telling him if he was interested in making a new "bunny" track for the finale of Episode 3, I would be glad to have it. Otherwise I have re-purposed CQ1 and 2 tracks for the 5 new maps and I am happy with those for now.
Here is what to expect in my initial release- it will contains all five maps with all textures and decorations complete, all shell graphics in place, all new sprites finished and all new sounds will be in. Only outstanding issues will be new music and any multiplayer-specific support which I am not familiar with. I think you will find it a very comparable experience to playing Chex Quest 2 in its downloaded form back in the day.

Hmm, another orignal Digtal Cafe member working on Chex Quest 3. :D
Wow, can't wait for this! The new Flemoids are definitely going in ZDoom Wars!
Ooo, the bunny track! ;D
