Seeing how Slimeinator's "A New Era" contest had less than steller results, I think we should discuss the kinds of contests that we would like to see in the future (and the prizes that go with them!) Anyway, feel free to take any of my ideas and play with them as you will.
This is what has been suggested so far:
CONTEST IDEAS:
-CQ themed poetry contest (don't laugh, I think it has potential)
-a new flemoid design contest (concept and/or basic design)
-a "do something Chex Quest-like in a non-Doom game" contest (i.e. a level that has something shaped like a CQ object, a level that is shaped like a CQ level, a level with a goal that is similar to a CQ level, etc...)
-CQ wallpaper design contest
-a speedrun contest for THE ENTIRE canonical series. 1-3.
-a CQ video of any genre (live-action or animated)
CONTEST PRIZE IDEAS:
-a personalized bedroom in the CQ Lounge
Please tell me what yiu think of these ideas, and don't hesitate to add your own too.

I like the idea, but you can already ave your own lounge room ;)
You just have to edit the WAD your self.

This doesn't work retroactively, correct? Because then I already would have awarded Notiswas for the GameMaker CQ4 and Arch129 for his sweet CQ desktop (it's yellow and black, check it out in the gallery)

No, these are not retroactive contests. As for the design contests, it would be for concept and/or basic design based. To avoid further confusion, I will update the list to include this.

how about a modeling contest? I mean, make a 3d model of a flemoid (there seems to be a problem with making 3d slime...) and judge which one's the best... idk
or 3d zorchers...

Well, the thing is, people have already made 3D models of CQ stuff (Chex Trek and Violation Flemoid), so I dunno. And it
would fall under design.
Howabout CQ fan art contests. some could possibly follow some kind of theme like "CQ Lounge" themed art or "Chex City" art or "Flemoid Dimension" themed, or just be anything CQ related.
Maybe, but I think if enough people could draw to make that work we'd have a lot more spriters.
a spriting contest would be cool. but I was more of thinking along the lines of like a scanned pencil and pen drawing. there is a bit of a difference there.
I'd go for the Flemoid Concept contest. I've got a few I could enter.
