So, I got bored and decided to do some CQ MIDI stuff. I plan on doing all the Songs from CQ1-CQ3.

or you could use XWE and take it directly from the wad

just do entry -> save as

Nice! ;D They sound slightly more lively without straying too much from their original MIDI sound.

Are those the official "names" of the songs (which I'd like to know), or are they just names you've come up with?

For the most part, I made up the names based on the theme of the level. XD

E1M3 will be up in about 10-15 minutes from now. Sit tight!

how are you making these ZG? Are you swapping out instruments in the midi?

I'm using Synthfont in combination with VST plugins for reverb and stuff, along with a bunch of big (150+ MB!) Soundfonts.

A fixed version of my earlier M1M3 OGG is up (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1709046/CQ%20E1M3.ogg). It was missing some high notes here and there, So please redownload it if you got the previous version.

On E1M3, especially in the main parts, the delayed echo on the rhythm guitar throws me off. Otherwise sounds great!

Heh, if you're really curious, I came up with my own set of names. Here they are:

E1M1 - Getting Prepared
E1M2 - Bonanza!
E1M3 - What a Mess
E1M4 - Jumpin' Around
E1M5 - Creepy Crawlies
E2M1 - Begin the Chase Again
E2M2 - Searching High and Low
E2M3 - Power Breakfast
E2M4 - Danger Zone
E2M5 - Unravelling the Mysteries
E3M1 - Departure
E3M2 - We March at Dawn
E3M3 - Settlement
E3M4 - All Is Peaceful
E3M5 - Gloom and Doom
Intermission - Stop for a Snack
Victory - Finally There
Game Complete - Today is Victory Day

It couldn't find any actual names of the songs anywhere obvious on the forum, wiki, or site, which bugged me to no end. So I just left the issue to my imagination. :whale

EDIT: Whoops. Got E1M3 and E1M4 mixed up. ::)

Hey, sweet! You're cool to call the music whatever you want, man. I hope to hear some more remixes soon!
